Earlier this week I registered for the random drawing with 30,000 other people for the Nike Women's Marathon in S.F. in October. Now the wait until the 20th to see if I am one of the 22,000 people chosen. (That number is 1/2 of the county I live in!) Training continues, thanks to Rachel who every Sunday texts me my next weeks plan. Otherwise I would sit in the house by the fire, telling myself it was too cold to go outside.

Winter or Spring?
The last few weeks have been alternating between sunny, warm temperatures in the 50's to cold, freezing days in the 20-30's. Our weather is fickle. I realize it is only early March but spring fever is officially here!

This is the view I have every time I run or bike. It is amazing and beautiful but don't be fooled, even though there is sunshine is was less than 30 degrees this morning. The cows were shivering and were huddled together for warmth! I almost stopped to join them.
